Skincare is one of my favorite gifts. What’s better than the gift of good skin? Whether you are looking for a gift for the holiday season, a birthday or just a special occasion, a great skincare gift is the perfect way to show you put thought and care into your gift.
How do you know which skin care products they will actually use and feel like they got a luxurious gift?
I’m going to break it all down for you. I have some top favorites that I have been using regularly. Some of them for over 10 years.
First let’s look at what to think about before deciding what to buy. The best skincare gifts will need a few things.

What to think about when shopping for gifts for skincare lovers
The best skincare gifts are the ones that feel personalized. First think about your skincare lover’s skin type. Do they have dry skin, oily skin, aging skin, sensitive skin?
Most skincare products I’m going to discuss here will be great for any type of skin. But I’ll also give you some options for specific skin conditions – in case your recipient has a specific skin concern.
Finding the best products
In my humble opinion, you can’t go wrong with products from Hugh and Grace, The Body Deli and Primally Pure. These brands consistently deliver great products and I have never been disappointed.
The body deli is the OG in beautiful, clean skin care products. They have been around since 2001 (yes, 22 years!) and have been providing stellar, organic and raw skincare products. They have mastered the art of natural skin care delivering better results than some more well-known non-clean brands.
Hugh and Grace came into the scene in 2021. They’re still building their product line, and adding new products but have the dreamiest serums on the planet.
Their products are designed for all skin care types, but I have found the blue tansy oil in the night serum to dramatically change my skin (even after one application) and reduce my rosacea and red inflamed skin.
Primally pure is another great brand you can’t go wrong with. They have lines specifically designed for acne prone skin, dry skin and sensitive skin. The company started as an alternative to the harsh prescription products the founder was being prescribed for her acne.
Over the last 10 years they have developed a beautiful skincare line that delivers. If your skincare lover is focused on vegan products, Primally Pure does use some grass-fed beef tallow in some of their products (like the lip balm). I’ll be sure to note those below.
Finding the best ingredients for skin type
Hyaluronic acid
Great for all skin types. Though it sounds like something out of Breaking Bad, hyaluronic acid is actually something that your body produces. It’s added to products to help add moisture back into the skin, which can help with fine lines and wrinkles.
Hyaluronic acid is loved by skincare lovers because it really does add moisture. AND it’s safe for all skin types and I’ll always say yes to a good product that has hyaluronic acid.
Essential Oils
Good for all skin types (but be careful if extra sensitive). Most non-toxic products and products only using natural ingredients will include essential oils. These will help make the products smell great and can have added benefits for the skin.
If your skin-care lover has super sensitive skin, look for products for sensitive skin (like Hugh and Grace serums or the sensitive skin products at The Body Deli and Primally Pure).
Nothing included here (or ever recommended on this site) has “fragrance” listed as an ingredient. The ingredient “fragrance” often means phthalates and over 3,000 other harmful chemicals can be hiding in there.
Alpha Hydroxy Acids (AHA)
Great for all skin types. Alpha hydroxy acids include lactic acid, glycolic acid and malic acid. These are great for exfoliation and are generally safe for all skin types, even rosacea. These acids provide a gentle exfoliation without a scrub, which is great for all skin, especially sensitive skin that’s often difficult to use an exfoliator.
Vitamin C
Great for all skin types. Vitamin C is an antioxidant that removes free radicals produced by the sun that destroy collagen. Vitamin C stimulates collagen production to improve wrinkles and skin tone. It also helps brighten the skin by removing dark spots.
The 9 best gifts for skincare lovers
Let’s look at 9 gifts for your skincare lover they’re going to love. Combine any of these together to make your own gift set or check out the gift sets listed below for an already put together perfect gift.
These products are like giving the benefits of a regular facial, but they can use them all the time at home.
1. Face masks
Face masks are always a treat. Every time I wear a good one, I feel like I’m at a spa. Here are some great ones. I love the Primally Pure face masks and here are my recommendations for each skin type:
- Normal or dry skin
- Clarifying
- Inflamed/sensitive skin – I use this one at least once a week.
Please note: These masks contains honey, which may not be suitable for a vegan skincare lover.
2. Moisturizer
The Body Deli has THE BEST moisturizing creams. They really do what they say they are going to. They are mostly organic, mostly raw ingredients and all plant based.

- Dry skin – I use the Creme De La Rose at least 4-5 times a week. It’s really thick and super hydrating. The Sea Cucumber Gelee (which is vegan and doesn’t actually include a sea cucumber creature) is also hands down my favorite. But requires refrigeration, which can make it tricky to give as a gift.
- Normal skin, but aging concerns – The Solar Day Cream for a light day use is great and for night, the Nourish Night Cream is amazing!
- Inflamed/sensitive skin – I use the Creme De La Rose moisturizer, which is great for my rosacea, but it is a bit thick. The Solar Day Cream is also great for inflamed/sensitive skin and the Nourish Night Cream is great for night time.
- Oily/acne-prone skin & clarifying – The Light Facial Emulsion contains 1% salicylic acid to help with acne and oily skin. While it’s not a full blown acne treatment, it is a great option for someone who has minor troubles with acne and oil.
3. Exfoliator
The Blueberry Fusion Scrub is my favorite exfoliator for the face. It’s gentle and includes alpha hydroxy acids to gently exfoliate and blueberries and acai to add antioxidants. It’s great for all skin types since it’s not a harsh scrub.
I also love this Blue Tansy Body Polish if you are looking for a body exfoliator. This is not intended for the face, but is a great gentle body exfoliator.
4. Lip balm
Who doesn’t love a good lip balm? This Lip Mask and this Lip balm are the actual best. I like to use the Lip Mask most often, but I keep a stick of Lip Balm around (generally in every drawer of my house) for times I need a quick apply without sticking dirty fingers in the container.
Please note: The Primally Pure Lip Balm contains grass fed beef tallow, which is not suitable for a vegan skincare lover.
5. Eye cream
I’ll admit, I’m the worst about eye cream. I like simple, so 80% of the time I just use face cream on my eyes. But there are times when I want to skip a face cream and just use a serum for the day. In that case, the Firming Flax Eye Cream is THE BEST. It absorbs quickly so you can apply makeup right away.
6. Facial roller and Gua Sha Stones
Natural facial sculpting tools are another great gift to make your person feel like they’re getting the gift of a spa. These tools increase blood flow and lymphatic drainage to the face and improve complexion by reducing fine lines and wrinkles. A Gua Sha stone can also relieve tension headaches.
If you gift a Gua Sha stone, make sure to pair it with a serum so they can use it. My favorite is this Serum, but I did a whole breakdown on the best facial serums for Gua Sha.
7. Facial oils
Facial oils are great because you can add a concentrated amount of nutrients to your skin. Your skincare lover is sure to appreciate a good one.
I sound like a broken record at this point, but Hugh and Grace has the greatest face oils. The Night Serum in particular is fantastic. After one use, your gift recipient will notice a difference.
The blue tansy oil helps to reduce inflammation, even out skin tone and hydrate the skin. It also includes vitamin E and various essential fatty acids to help with the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles.
8. Handheld device
One of my favorite skincare products is a red led light face mask. This gift is a higher price point than other products, but if your budget allows, this is a great, unique gift that delivers results.
Red light devices are known for helping to increase collagen production, reduce inflammation, Reduce scars/wrinkles and reduce fine lines. And this mask delivers all the benefits right to the face. The HigherDose Red Light Face Mask is great for all skin types and is especially great at helping to reduce rosacea appearance.
9. Skin care gift sets
Already put together skincare gift sets are great because it’s super easy and they generally come with instructions for the whole skincare routine. Here are the best skin-care gift sets.
- Hugh and Grace The Face Set – this set comes with full-sized products, including the best bar soap (you can use on face and body), The Night Serum and The Day Serum. It’s the perfect skincare gift for someone who loves playing with serums and is good for all skin types. It also arrives in beautiful packaging.
- Primally Pure Skin Game Strong – This luxurious skincare gift set comes with a facial roller, cleansing oil, face serum and “Everything Spray” (which is a great toner and refresher). You can select the cleansing oil and face serum based on skin type. If your gift recipient is vegan, the Clarifying Serum option in this set includes Manuka honey, which may not be suitable for a vegan recipient.
- The Body Deli Mini Facial Kit – With a cleanser, hydrating spray, face cream, eye cream, serum, an exfoliator and a mask, it’s a great deal for so many products for $100. To be honest, all the kits you find on The Body Deli site are divine. But this one is great for all skin types and includes so many of my favorite products in one mini kit. It’s a great way to try some best sellers (it’s just missing the Sea Cucumber Gelee).
The bottom line
Getting a gift for your person who loves skincare doesn’t have to be intimidating. You can buy an already put together skincare set from a brand that delivers great products, or put your own together by putting together a routine.
Start with a cleanser, serum and moisturizer if you aren’t sure. Then you can add on from there.
